All the charges were filed on Sunday, a day after police took the men into custody in Baltimore County.

What Prompted The Charges?

The arrests came after Edwards, Johnson and Fisher were involved in an assault of another man who was exiting the Burlington Coat Factory store at Arundel Mills mall in Hanover, according to police. The man has not been identified.

Justin Mulcahy, of the Anne Arundel County Police Department, previously said that during the attack, the man pulled out a handgun that discharged during a struggle. After one of the attackers suffered a gunshot wound to their wrist, the individuals left the scene in a black Nissan Altima.

It was then that a police chase came underway as authorities were able to use the department's Real-Time Information Center to track Edwards, Johnson and Fisher to Interstate 97 in the Glen Burnie area.

Investigators followed the car until it crashed in Baltimore County, just off Interstate 695. Although the three individuals fled the scene on foot, police were able to apprehend them.

In addition to all three suffering non-life-threatening injuries, Mulcahy said an officer was also injured during the pursuit.

The investigation into the incident remains ongoing. Police have not detailed a motive or whether the individuals knew the man they approached at the mall.

Johnson remains held without bond. A bond hearing for Fisher and Edwards is scheduled for Monday at 1:30 p.m.
