Annapolis Area Christian School "Pink Out" Basketball Event

Annapolis Area Christian School is holding a "Pink Out" to support breast cancer research.

A student started the effort two years ago. Since then, the cause has raised almost $13,000.

This year, Annapolis Area Christian School (AACS) is partnering with Chapelgate Christian School and Greater Grace Academy to host its third annual Pink Out basketball event on Jan. 28. Admission is $5, and all proceeds will be donated. Games will be played at the AACS Upper School campus.

There are also other ways to support the effort:

  • Buy a Pink Out T-shirt for $10. T-shirts are available at all of AACS' campuses.
  • Sponsor a player in the Free-Throw-A-Thon. Players from the varsity, JV and middle school teams will each shoot 20 free throws and record the total shots made. Players can be sponsored for each free throw they make out of 20.
  • Make a donation. Checks can be made payable to AACS. Write “Pink Out” on the memo line.

The goal is to raise $10,000 for breast cancer research. All proceeds go to the JoAnn DeCesaris Cancer Institute.
