Anne Arundel County police are investigating the cause of the crash. They are awaiting the results of the driver's autopsy.
Police closed Telegraph Road between Georgia Avenue and Cunningham Road. Southbound cars sat still for the mile between Cunningham Road and Reece Road. Northbound traffic continued flowing, as it detoured to Clark Station Road, which runs parallel to Telegraph Road.
Mike Richards, a neighborhood resident, said he didn't hear the crash. Richards noted that he has heard two crashes from his home in the past.
