Glen Burnie Man Charged With Murder In Severn Woman's 2018 Death

The Anne Arundel County Police Department has charged an incarcerated Glen Burnie man with a Severn woman's 2018 death.

SEVERN, MD — Anne Arundel County Police officers have charged a Glen Burnie man in the 2018 murder of Jasmine Sherel Adams of Severn. Police officers found Adams dead in the basement of her home in the 1800 block of Hawk Court on Aug. 15, 2018. Adams' father contacted the police about his daughter's welfare at that time.

Homicide detectives investigating the incident discovered Adams had suffered trauma to her upper body resulting in her death. After collecting evidence at the crime scene, executing search warrants and reaching out to witnesses, a DNA profile of suspects led police to 39-year-old Dominic Richard Sanchez of Glen Burnie, the police department announced.

Sanchez currently is serving time at the Anne Arundel County Detention Center for a separate offense. He has since been charged with first degree murder, second degree murder, first degree assault and second degree assault in Adams' death.
