Man Draws Sword After Following Driver On Highway: Police

Police said a man drew a sword on another driver. The threat came after the suspect followed the victim down a Maryland highway, they added.

HANOVER, MD — Police said a man pointed a gun at another driver, followed the motorist until they came to a stop and drew a sword hidden inside his cane. The encounter happened Thursday around 11:10 a.m.

The victim told police the suspect flashed the black handgun as they traveled west on Maryland Route 100 at its intersection with Telegraph Road. An incident report said the victim eventually stopped in Hanover in the 1200 block of Dorsey Road.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department identified the suspect as Adam David Morad of Pasadena. They found the 48-year-old man at his home, where they recovered the sword and a pellet gun, the write-up added. Officers said they arrested Morad and charged him accordingly.
