Maryland Casino Revenue Up 11% from 2015, Down From August Numbers
Maryland's five casinos brought in less money in September than the month before, but generated 11% more revenue than a year ago.

HANOVER, MD — Overall revenue at the state's five casinos was down in September from a month earlier, according to newly released numbers from Maryland Lottery and Gaming Contral Agency, while Maryland Live! Casino in Anne Arundel County brought in the most money.
Figures show that September 2016’s combined statewide revenue totaled $97 million, an increase of 11 percent from a year ago. This was the first time since June that the casinos didn't bring in at least $100 million in a month, the gaming agency said Wednesday.
The highest revenue-generator in the state was Maryland Live Casino, which brought in $53.9 million from both slot machines and table games in September, an 8.8 percent increase from a year ago.

State officials say Horseshoe Casino Baltimore had the biggest revenue increase from the previous year. The facility generated $26.9 million from both slot machines and table games in September 2016, which was an increase of $4.7 million, or 21.6 percent, from September 2015.
Hollywood Casino Perryville generated $5.9 million last month, a drop of $282,534, or 4.6 percent, from September 2015.

And Casino at Ocean Downs generated $5.8 million in September 2016, an increase of $163,328, or 2.9 percent, from September 2015; Rocky Gap Casino Resort generated $4.4 million last month, an increase of 14.9 percent, from the previous year.
