Motorcyclist In Critical Condition After Hit And Run: Police

A Baltimore motorcyclist was seriously hurt in a hit and run, police said. Officers noted they have a warrant for the Severn suspect.

LINTHICUM HEIGHTS, MD — Police said a Baltimore motorcyclist is in critical condition after a Saturday hit-and-run crash in Linthicum Heights. Officers noted they have an arrest warrant for the accused driver.

Authorities identified the suspect as 30-year-old Ronald Scott Clark Jr. of Severn. Officials added Clark fled on foot, but his three uninjured passengers stayed on the scene. Police explained they searched the area but could not find Clark.

The wreck happened around 2 a.m. at Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard and Grove Ridge Court, an incident report said. The write-up indicated the 38-year-old motorcyclist was heading south on Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard before the collision. Clark was driving north on the same road in his 2000 Nissan SUV, the press release detailed.

Officers wrote Clark tried to turn left onto Grove Ridge Court, crossing immediately in front of the motorcyclist. The ensuing crash ejected the biker from his 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle, authorities shared.

Officials mentioned the victim suffered life-threatening injuries. The Anne Arundel County Fire Department took the motorcyclist to the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, the report continued.

Police stated the cause of the wreck appears to be the SUV's failure to yield the right of way.
