Neighbor Ignites Patio Furniture, Fence With Firework After Fight

The Anne Arundel County Fire Department said the Severn juvenile was booked on multiple charges including malicious burning.

SEVERN, MD — A juvenile engaged in an argument with a neighbor then lit an illegal firework and threw it into the neighbor's yard in retaliation, igniting patio furniture. The fire then spread to a nearby fence. The incident occurred Sunday at approximately 8:16 p.m. Sunday in the 1800 block of Blue Jay Court. Estimated damages are pegged at $1,000.

According to the Anne Arundel County Fire Department, the juvenile was taken into custody by investigators and booked on multiple charges include malicious burning - second degree, malicious destruction of property and negligent burning to another's property. The juvenile was released to his guardian.
