Odenton Volunteer Fire Company Cancels Annual Carnival

Organizers hope to reschedule the carnival for late summer, as it is one of the largest fundraisers for the fire company.

ODENTON, MD — Because of the new coronavirus pandemic, the Odenton Volunteer Fire Company has canceled its annual carnival planned for May 19-25. This annual traditional began in July 1934 and organizers hope to reschedule the carnival for late summer, as it is one of the largest fundraisers for the fire company.

Last year, the Odenton Volunteer Fire Company didn't hold its annual parade but still hosted the carnival that featured an assortment of rides and family-friendly activities. Wristbands typically are available for purchase for the rides.
