Pedestrian Hospitalized With Life-Threatening Injuries After Linthicum Crash: Police

A pedestrian went to shock trauma with life-threatening injuries after a Linthicum crash, police said.

LINTHICUM, MD — Police announced that a pedestrian went to shock trauma after he was struck Saturday in a Linthicum crash. The victim's injuries are life-threatening.

The pedestrian was walking in the travel portion of the roadway while wearing dark, non-reflective clothing at the time of the accident. A 2006 Ford F-150 pick-up truck hit the victim around 7:41 p.m. on southbound Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard near Lake Front Drive, officers said.

Anne Arundel County Fire Department paramedics took the pedestrian to the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore with critical injuries, a press release said. The truck driver was not hurt.

Authorities think pedestrian error was the main cause of the collision. The Anne Arundel County Police Department is still investigating.
