Potentially Lethal Cocaine Smuggled In Woman's Body
Customs officials at BWI Airport arrested a Jamaican woman, who allegedly had ingested 10 pellets filled with cocaine.

A Jamaican woman was recently arrested at Baltimore Washington International Airport for allegedly smuggling more than four ounces of cocaine inside her body.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials say Camella Simone Whyte, 31, underwent a routine secondary examination after she arrived Nov. 11 from Montego Bay, Jamaica. Whyte reportedly consented to a medical examination during questioning, and the exam revealed she had foreign objects inside her body.
Whyte passed 10 thumb-sized pellets that contained a white, powdery substance that officials said tested positive for cocaine. The pellets’ total weighed measured about 4.2 ounces.

Customs officers allowed Whyte into the country so she can be prosecuted by the Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney’s Office.
“Smuggling narcotics inside one’s body is dangerous. If a pellet breaches inside a courier, the result could be a very painful death,” said Dianna Bowman of U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
