Severn Residents Work Together to Erase Graffiti
Halloween vandalism of a fence prompted residents and police to pitch in to remove the images.

Halloween vandals who defaced a Severn homeowner’s fence with graffiti did not have the last word.
Residents banded together with Anne Arundel County Police to clean up the mess, the department said on its Facebook page.
“Vandals entered a community overnight. That community got together and cleaned that mess off! This is what community is all about! Great job citizens! #Severn,” the department posted.

Amanda Cayer, the daughter-in-law of the homeowner on WB&A Road between Donaldson and Queenstown Roads who was vandalized, wrote on the department’s Facebook page: “Officer Lewis is an amazing young man. Thank you so much to everyone that helped out this morning.”
Severn resident Tammy Meyerson says for past two Halloweens her house was hit with eggs.

“The kids around us are disrespectful. It is a shame you can’t own things without these kids feeling as if they have the right to destroy it,” Meyerson wrote.
Many area residents chimed in to praise police and Severn residents who helped in the cleanup.
Carla Grimes Ison said: “Thumbs up to a community that works together! It’s one thing I’ve read today that was positive.”
