2 Armed Robberies, Fake Gun: Owings Mills-Reisterstown Crime
Armed robberies were reported at two stores in Reisterstown recently, according to police.

REISTERSTOWN, MD — A store was held up in Reisterstown on each of the past two Sundays, according to police. Authorities say they found the suspect in the more recent case, which happened at Walgreens on July 5.
In addition to the armed robberies at businesses in the last couple of weeks, officers from the Franklin Precinct reported handling two residential burglaries, one armed robbery and an assault.

Police said a juvenile pointed a fake gun at two other youths in the unit block of Brookebury Drive. The assault was reported at 6:40 p.m. on Tuesday. Although officials searched the area, they said neither gun nor suspect was found.
At 10 p.m. on Sunday, someone with a weapon robbed a youth who was in the garage in the unit block of Ritters Lane. The armed robber subsequently ran away.

Two people were taken into custody after the Reisterstown Walgreens was held up at 9:12 p.m. on Sunday, according to authorities. Police said the armed robber at the store in the 11900 block of Reisterstown Road demanded money from the safe and the register, then left with the cash in a vehicle. According to the Baltimore County Police Department, the suspect and another person in the vehicle were both arrested.
The Rainbow store in the 11700 block of Reisterstown Road was robbed at gunpoint at 11:20 a.m. on Sunday, June 28. The robber showed the manager the gun, then took what was inside the safe.
Lawn equipment was stolen from a shed in the unit block of Pleasant Hill Road. The burglary happened between 8 a.m. on Friday, June 26, and 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 27.
Electronics and other items were stolen from an apartment in the 200 block of Cork Lane. The burglar broke the sliding glass door lock to get in between 11 a.m. and 10:18 p.m. on Thursday, June 25.
Nearby and notable: Police said there have been 12 cases in which auto parts and accessories have been stolen between June 26 and July 8. The thefts from vehicles occurred in the Pikesville, Wilkens and Dundalk precincts overnight.
