3 Murders Linked To 2 Reisterstown Residents: Police

BREAKING: A pair from Reisterstown was responsible for the Motel 6 murders and deadly Liberty Road shooting in recent weeks, police allege.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Two Reisterstown residents have been charged in connection with three murders that took place in the past month, the Baltimore County Police Department reported.

Terica Antoinette Evans, 30, and Derrick Ramont Simmons, 24, both of the unit block of Glyndale Court in Reisterstown, were linked to the recent murder of two men at Motel 6 and the deadly shooting of a man on Liberty Road last month, police said.

Surveillance videos and similarities in the crimes were elements of the investigation, police said.

In the Motel 6 case, police said two men were found by a hotel worker at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 17.

Angel Luis Mendez Crespo, 27, and Edgardo Castro Estremera, 30, had been fatally shot when they were discovered in a room at the motel in the 1600 block of Whitehead Court, police reported.

In the other case, Kyle Jovan Fulton, 24, was found deceased on the sidewalk on Liberty Road near Liberty Place, police said. According to authorities, a passerby reported the body at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 24.

Both Evans and Simmons were charged with three counts of first-degree murder and were being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center without bail.

They were taken into custody on Wednesday, June 21, court records show. That day, Evans was charged with first-degree assault and Simmons was charged with illegal possession of a firearm.
