3 Pedestrians Hospitalized After Police Cruiser Crash in Woodlawn: Officials

A man and woman with a baby in a stroller were hit, Baltimore County police reported.

Three people including a baby are hospitalized after they were hit by a Baltimore County police cruiser on Security Boulevard, according to a statement from the Baltimore County Police Department.

The crash occurred after 11 p.m. on Saturday, WJZ reported.

The officer was responding to an assault reported at Hot Skates on Whitehead Road in Woodlawn and had activated the vehicle’s lights and sirens when the cruiser hit a man and a woman who had been pushing a baby in a stroller in the 6600 block of Security Boulevard, police said.

Two of the victims were taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital and a third was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, according to police.

Their conditions were not available Sunday morning.

According to WJZ, the cruiser was traveling at 50 mph at the time of the collision, in which the stroller was not hit.

The officer was uninjured, according to police.
