Baltimore County Police: Investigation Under Way After Weapon Is Located In Empty Classroom
The juvenile surrendered to police earlier today. At this point, detectives do not believe other students were involved, reports indicate.

Baltimore County police arrested a suspect this afternoon in connection to the loaded handgun and ammunition a school administrator discovered at Chesapeake High School on Wednesday.

The juvenile surrendered to police earlier today. At this point, detectives do not believe other students were involved. The suspect has been charged as an adult with weapons and drug offenses.
Around 12:15 p.m., Baltimore County Police responded to Chesapeake High School after they were notified that a loaded handgun and ammunition were discovered by a school administrator.

Officers later learned the weapon was located inside a bag in an empty classroom.
Currently, this remains an open and active investigation.
