Baltimore Ravens Fire Offensive Coordinator After 2 Losses at Home
After Marc Trestman was fired, Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco to work with the fifth offensive coordinator in nine seasons.
OWINGS MILLS, MD — Baltimore Ravens Head Coach John Harbaugh fired his offensive coordinator, the BaltimoreRavens.com reported Monday.
Marc Trestman, who was in his second season as the offensive coordinator for the team, came to Baltimore after coaching the Chicago Bears.
"Marc is a good person and an excellent football coach," Harbaugh said in a statement, but he noted the Ravens had "two tough losses at home" and "will work to be better in every aspect of our football team."

The most recent loss was a painful one, against regional rivals the Washington Redskins, 16-10, at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore. Quarterback Joe Flacco said he was "embarrassed" Sunday, after he and other members of the offense were booed when they took to the field, according to the BaltimoreRavens.com.
Marty Mornhinweg has been named the Ravens' new offensive coordinator. He previously held that position with the New York Jets and the San Francisco 49ers, where he also worked with Harbaugh on staff. Before turning his attention to the offense, Mornhinweg was the head coach of the Detroit Lions for a year in 2001.

Mornhinweg is the fifth offensive coordinator to work with Flacco in the quarterback's nine seasons with the team, the BaltimoreRavens.com reports. Previously, Cam Cameron (also fired after a loss to the Redskins, in 2012), Jim Caldwell, Gary Kubiac and Trestman have held the title.
Next up, the Ravens (3-2) take on the Giants (2-3) in New York at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 16.
