Man Found Deceased Following West Side Apartment Fire: Baltimore County Fire Officials

Fire crews found a 72-year-old man deceased in his west side apartment Sunday morning following an apartment fire.

Truck 13 (Westview) responded to the 1000 block of Charing Martin Court, 21229, at 9:10 a.m. for a report of an apartment fire. Crews heard a smoke alarm sounding and forced entry. The victim was found deceased in the kitchen.

BCoPD fire investigators have identified the victim as Mark Emmanuel Davis, who lived at the apartment where the fire occurred. They determined that he had been cooking and found no signs of foul play.

Fire damage was minimal. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.
