Former Baltimore Raven Jailed After Starving Dog to Death

The ex Raven is not allowed to own animals as part of his sentence for animal cruelty charges.

The former Raven charged with animal cruelty among other offenses at his Reisterstown home will spend nine months in jail, a judge ruled recently in Baltimore County Circuit Court.

Terrence Cody, 27, of the 12400 block of Old Grey Mare Court in Reisterstown, was sentenced to serve 270 days due to multiple counts of animal cruelty. Previously, Cody was acquitted of felony charges and convicted of misdemeanors connected to an investigation by the Baltimore County Police Department after the death of the NFL player’s dog.

Cody’s dog Taz died of starvation over the course of one month and was feeding off trash and bones at the end of his life, when the normally 100-pound mastiff weighed 50 pounds, the prosecutor for the Baltimore County’s state’s attorney told The Baltimore Sun.
