New Tenant For Owings Mills Mall Site Announced
BREAKING NEWS: A major retailer is planning to set up shop in Mill Station in Owings Mills.

OWINGS MILLS, MD — A new home improvement store is coming to Owings Mills. County Council Chair Julian E. Jones announced on Monday that Lowe's signed a lease at Mill Station in Owings Mills.
Mill Station is the development planned for the area where the Owings Mills Mall used to be. Kimco Realty is overseeing the project.
Construction is expected to start in June for the home improvement store, with a nearly 22,000-square-foot garden center, Jones said.

Lowe's will open in January 2019, according to the councilman, whose district includes Owings Mills.
“Lowe’s will be a great addition to the area, along with several other popular shopping and eating destinations that Owings Mills, Reisterstown and Randallstown residents can look forward to having right in their own backyard," Jones said.

Lowe's is the latest tenant announced at Mill Station, which is expected to bring 250 jobs to the area.
Kimco started construction at the retail center earlier this year, according to Jones.
The first tenant announced was Costco, which Jones said is projected to open in August. The 148,000-square-foot members-only superstore will include a deli, bakery, food court, garden center, optical department, photo center and gas station.
"We are pleased to have attracted Lowe’s as the newest addition to Mill Station, which will provide a thriving retail center for county residents," Baltimore County Executive Kamenetz said in a statement Monday. “The $108 million investment in the project adds to the more than $1 billion of recent private investment in Owings Mills."
When complete, Mill Station will encompass 640,000 square feet. Construction work produced by the project will bring 250 jobs to the area, officials say.
