• AMC will pay $56,000 after the EEOC said it cut the hours of a 22-year employee with cerebral palsy (newsbreak.com) — A longtime employee with cerebral palsy at the AMC theater in Owings Mills will receive $56,000 after a federal disability-discrimination lawsuit settlement. The EEOC said AMC denied simple accommodations and cut his hours, and the two-year consent decree also requires new policies, staff training, and posted notices that could influence how other local workers are treated.
   

• MD Woman, Dog Killed In Baltimore County Pedestrian Crash: State Police (patch.com) — A woman from Westminster and her dog were struck and killed Wednesday night while trying to cross southbound I-795 near Mt. Wilson Lane in Owings Mills after her car apparently ran out of gas. The crash closed the interstate for about three hours, and Maryland State Police say the driver who hit them was hospitalized as the investigation continues.
