Franklin Middle School students capped off their cross country unit with a one-mile "Fun Run" Wednesday after school.

students culminated their cross country unit Wednesday afternoon with the 10th Annual Fun Run, a one-mile run in the back of the school.

"It's for the kids," said Sandy Tilmes, one of the school's physical education teachers. "They don't raise money for anything, it's just for them."

Each grade ran a separate race and 1st, 2nd and 3rd place boys and girls in each grade were awarded medals. The approximately 325 students were given t-shirts for their participation and had a pizza party after run. T-shirts and pizza were paid for by parents donations, Tilmes said.
