Skateboarder Dies After Police Car Crash Near Woodlawn: Officials
BREAKING: The man who was hit by a police car while skateboarding early Thursday morning has died, police said Friday.

WOODLAWN, MD — A man has died the day after he was hit while skateboarding in Woodlawn, police reported. The vehicle that crashed into him was a police car, according to authorities.
Brandon Michael Williams, 31, of the 2600 block of West Park Drive, was hospitalized and passed away, police said in a statement shortly after 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 18.
Williams had been headed north in the southbound lane of Whitehead Road near Whitestone Road on his skateboard when he was when he was hit by a patrol car, officials reported. He was a little less than 2 miles from home at the time of the crash.

The crash happened around 3:50 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 17, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.
The officer had been en route to a call for service, police said.

The Baltimore County Police Crash Investigation Team is handling the case.

This is the second crash this month which someone has died after being hit by a Baltimore County police vehicle.
A carjacking suspect running from police was hit and killed on Sunday, Jan. 6, near Pimlico in Baltimore City.
