Traffic Alert: I-70 Delays Anticipated at Patapsco River

Due to repair work, lane closures will be in effect on the bridge across the Patapsco River at the Baltimore-Howard county line overnight, according to the State Highway Administration.

From 7 p.m. Tuesday to 5 a.m. Wednesday at the latest, two left lanes will be closed on the eastbound portion of Interstate 70 in the area of the bridge, the administration reported.

Those taking I-70 east should allow for extra travel time, as crews work to repair a joint seal.

Drivers should use US Route 40 (Baltimore National Pike) to US Route 29 (Columbia Pike), according to the State Highway Administration.
