Water Main Break In Owings Mills Prompts Closures

A road and community center in Owings Mills were closed Wednesday because of a water main break.

OWINGS MILLS, MD — A road and a community center were closed Wednesday afternoon in place in Owings Mills due to a water main break.

Crews closed Gwynnbrook Avenue between Owings Mills Boulevard and the entrance to the Jewish Community Center, Councilman Izzy Patoka reported before 3:15 p.m. Highway and public works personnel had closed the road because it was damaged, he said, urging those in the area to use extra care.

The Owings Mills Jewish Community Center (JCC) at 3506 Gwynnbrook Avenue is experiencing a water outage because of the break, so it closed at 5:30 p.m.

Around 10:30 p.m., the JCC reported the main had been repaired.
