Weis Stores Opening Friday in Owings Mills, Reisterstown

Two former Food Lion markets in Baltimore County will reopen on Friday as Weis markets.

Several grocery stores that have been closed for rebranding will reopen under the Weis banner on Friday, including locations in Owings Mills and Reisterstown. The stores at 9251 Lakeside Boulevard in Owings Mills and at 10 Village Center Road in Reisterstown used to be Food Lion supermarkets.

There were 38 former Food Lion stores sold to Weis over the summer in a deal that spanned Maryland, Virginia and Delaware, where stores will all change over to Weis by the end of October.

In addition to the markets in Owings Mills and Reisterstown, the stores in Eldersburg, Cumberland and Frostburg will reopen on Friday, Sept. 16.

Next up, stores in Columbia, Elkridge, Gaithersburg and Mitchelville will reopen on Friday, Sept. 23, as Weis, the company said in a statement.
