Aug. 13-14: White Marsh Express Toll Lanes Closure
Traffic detours are expected next week on Interstate 695 at Interstate 95.

From 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., Aug. 13 into Aug. 14, "all lanes of westbound Interstate 695 (OUTER LOOP) at Interstate 95 (Exit 33) will be completely closed," according to a Maryland Transportation Authority press release.
"Traffic will be detoured off Exit 33 to northbound I-95, to westbound MD 43 (Exit 67B, White Marsh Boulevard), to southbound I-95, to westbound I-695 (Exit 64)," the release showed.

When complete, the project will allow drivers to use express lanes on I-95 by paying a toll or travel on existing lanes at no additional cost.
The White Marsh portion of the project carries a $142.6 million price tag and is expected to create 400 new jobs. The total project, which stretches from north of White Marsh along I-95 to south of the Interstate 895/Moravia Road interchange, will cost $1.03 billion and is expected to be finished by 2014, according to the transportation authority.
