Baltimore County Announces Christmas and New Year's Closings

Baltimore County government officials recently announced upcoming holiday closings.

Christmas closings:

  • County government offices, as well as District and Circuit Courts, will be closed on Friday, Dec. 24 and Saturday, Dec. 25. Health Department clinics, senior centers, libraries and the county animal shelter will also be closed, and the CountyRide van service will not run.
  • County trash and recycling will be collected on Dec. 24 and recycling drop-off centers will be open. There will be no trash and recycling collection or open drop-off facilities on Dec. 25. 

New Year's closings:

  • County government offices, as well as District and Circuit Courts, will be closed on Friday, Dec. 31 and Saturday, Jan. 1. Health Department clinics, senior centers and the county animal shelter will also be closed, and the CountyRide van service will not run.
  • County libraries will close at 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 31. Libraries will be closed on January 1.
  • County's trash and recycling will be collected on Dec. 31 and recycling drop-off centers will be open. There will be no trash and recycling collection or open drop-off facilities on January 1. 

Residents can log onto www.bcrecycles.com for more information about recycling and trash collection, including drop-off center locations and hours.  Residents may also call the Bureau of Solid Waste Management at 410-887-2000.
