BCPS Announces Schedule Changes For Monday
The severe weather moving into the region has forced Baltimore County Public Schools to change how classes will operate on Monday.
PERRY HALL, MD — Baltimore County Public Schools announced schedule changes for Monday as forecasts show bands of severe weather moving into the region.
All Baltimore County Public Schools and offices will dismiss three hours early, as afternoon pre-K classes are canceled.
After-school and evening activities are also canceled.

"Families are encouraged to monitor the weather and take precautions as the storm system moves through the region," reads a release issued by the school district.

Forecasters are warning that the area will experience significant thunderstorms, hail, potential tornadoes and wind gusts of about 75 mph across the region.
"Meteorologists are sounding the alarm for a widespread multiday severe risk stretching across the central and eastern United States from Sunday afternoon into Monday," Accuweather said.
Over 12 states are at risk for severe thunderstorms, according to the weather agency.
