Body of Baltimore County Boater Found: Police
The man was found in Gunpowder River, Natural Resources Police reported.

The body of a boater who went missing in Baltimore County earlier this week has been found, according to Natural Resources Police.
John Wilmer Conrad III, of Sparks, was found near Salt Peter Creek in the Gunpowder River Saturday night, according to police.

The 40-year-old boater had been missing since Monday, May 25, when he was on his way from Chestertown to a marina in Middle River, police reported.
A Baltimore County police helicopter spotted his sailboat ”motoring in a circle” around North Point State Park on Tuesday, May 26, the report said.

The Coast Guard brought the boat and a dog who was aboard to safety, according to the report.
Baltimore County public safety officials said the sailboat was called “Memphis Traveler.”
Gusty winds and heavy seas complicated the search effort for the missing man, and Conrad was found at 7 p.m. in the Gunpowder River, Natural Resources Police reported.
Authorities said Conrad’s family and associates were working with police to determine a timeline of events before his death, and the body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy.
