One Killed After Car Hits Crab Restaurant In Parkville: Police

Police said one person died at Parkville Crabs Friday after a car drove into the business on Harford Road.

PARKVILLE, MD — One person died in Parkville Friday after a car crashed into a crab carryout business, according to police.

At 12:39 p.m., officers were in the area when they said a Subaru Outback in the parking lot outside Parkville Crabs drove into a glass window.

One person inside the business in the 7800 block of Harford Road was hit and killed by debris as a result of the crash, police said; officials reported the victim died at the scene. The Baltimore County Police Department did not immediately identify the deceased.

Neither the driver nor the passenger in the Subaru reported any injuries, police said.

The driver may have hit the gas by accident, investigators told The Baltimore Sun.

The Baltimore County Police Department's crash team continues to investigate the factors involved in the deadly crash. Officers are reconstructing the collision, police said before 4 p.m.

Harford Road is closed between Taylor Avenue and Lavender Avenue for the investigation.
