Flooding Around Perry Hall Follows Days Of Downpours
A flood warning expired Thursday evening in the area, where a road had been partially closed amid flooding.

PERRY HALL, MD — The rain has stopped in Perry Hall, for now. A flood warning expired at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 26, after days of rain downpours caused streams and rivers to overflow their banks.
The National Weather Service said that stream gauges showed flooding during the day Thursday at the Patapsco River and Gunpowder Falls, and several roads were closed.
US 1/Belair Road was closed to southbound traffic at Honeygo Boulevard due to high water on Thursday morning; it remained closed Thursday afternoon and reopened by the evening.

Linda Glinos took her dogs for a walk near the Gunpowder Lodge Thursday and said that the scenery had changed at the spot where they like to swim.

"I usually have to walk down a path and cross over a large fallen tree to get to shore," she said. "Now the shore is coming up to meet me." She noted crews were removing debris so water could flow under Belair Road.
