Honeygo Park Thefts: 2 Charged, Police Say
Police said that Facebook tips and credit card transactions, plus officers in multiple areas, helped track down the suspected thieves.

PERRY HALL, MD — After a series of thefts from vehicles at parks in Baltimore County, including at Honegyo Run Regional Park, police said an investigation has turned up two suspects. Authorities are also advising citizens to be cautious when leaving their cars at area parks, which can be targeted by thieves since their owners may be away for long periods of time.
Charles Allen Fry, 39, of no fixed address, and Lauren Michelle Richardson, 30, of the 300 block of Hidden Valley Road in Tracys Landing, are charged with theft, credit card fraud and other related offenses, police said.
The charges came after an investigation that spanned more than two weeks and two jurisdictions.

In one case, police said that a woman found her Jeep window smashed and her purse stolen at Honeygo Run Regional Park in the 9000 block of Honeygo Boulevard.
Hours later, the same officer took a report of a theft from another vehicle at Perry Hall P ark in the 9600 block of Honegyo Boulevard. The second victim had received an alert on her phone that her credit card was declined at the Best Buy on Campbell Boulevard; and when she returned to her vehicle, she found someone had gotten into her truck and taken her purse, according to authorities.
While one card was declined, another one of her credit cards was used at Best Buy and the BP on Campbell Boulevard, police said. As law enforcement investigated, officials said the victim took to Facebook for help and received an anonymous tip that identified the suspects as Fry and Richardson. The tip would later be confirmed, according to police.
The pair was arrested on Oct. 11 in Baltimore City while driving a stolen truck, according to authorities.
In Baltimore City, police said an officer stopped Fry and Richardson in a Ford F-150 that had been reported stolen from the NCR Trail parking lot on Paper Mill Road in Cockeysville on Sunday, Sept. 24, using a key that had been left inside the truck.
During the traffic stop on the stolen vehicle in Baltimore City, officers said they found items from the thefts in the Perry Hall-White Marsh area, as well as tools used for breaking into vehicles and drug paraphernalia.
Additional property found may be connected to additional thefts, authorities said, noting similar incidents have been reported at Honeygo Run Regional Park, Perry Hall Park and LA Fitness on Town Center Drive.
Police offered several tips for people to avoid becoming victims:
- Lock vehicles when leaving them.
- Do not leave valuables, including keys to other vehicles, inside.
- Put valuables in the trunk or out of view/cover them up if you must leave them.
- Be vigilant and report people engaged in suspicious activity.
