Kingsville's Kindness Kids Hope For 'A Better World'
A group of third-grade students at Kingsville Elementary celebrated Kindness Day with acts of kindness around the school.
, a third-grade teacher at , takes a proactive approach to teaching kindness.
"I realized that many of the children didn't really know what kindness was—so we decided to be the Kindness Kids and teach the school," DeNike said.
Being more kind has been a school-wide initiative since the start of the year, but on Friday, in honor of National Kindness Day, DeNike made special T-shirts for students and helped them plan acts of kindness throughout the school.

Chloe Ament and Amanda Glock read a book about kindness to second graders.
"If they learn about it, then they can teach it to other people," Ament said.

"If it spreads around, it'll be a better world and everyone will be kind to each other," Glock said.
Students also presented roses to school administrators and wrote notes of encouragement to each other.
