'Major Infrastructure Addition' Opens Near White Marsh

Campbell Boulevard enhancements will 'relieve congestion at key intersections,' Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz said.

Baltimore County officials celebrated the completion of a stretch of road Tuesday they say will relieve congestion in the Perry Hall area.

Opening the 1-mile stretch of Campbell Boulevard cost $6.8 million, including installation of a 220-foot-long bridge over White Marsh Run; 3,000 feet of water main; three lanes; and sidewalks, according to a statement from Baltimore County.

County Executive Kevin Kamenetz said the enhancements would relieve congestion.

“This 1-mile section of new road is a major infrastructure addition for the community and the county,” Kamenetz said. “It will relieve congestion at key intersections—such as Middle River Road and Route 40—and provide greater access for residents and business.”

The improvements are part of a larger plan to connect White Marsh Boulevard to Philadelphia Road, according to the county.
