New Development at Angel Park in Perry Hall
Official announcement is coming on Friday near Perry Hall Library.

The Angel Park Committee, which has been coordinating plans for the site next to the Perry Hall Library, will unveil a new sign on Friday. The signage will designate the future site of the park and recognize sponsors, according to organizers.
Recently, Angel Park Committee member Bill Paulshock told Patch that organizations and individuals around the community have donated more than $800,000 toward the project.
When complete, the park will feature a playground that can accommodate all children, including those with special needs, and an amphitheater for musical performances..

Community leaders have been working to bring Angel Park to fruition in the space next to the Perry Hall Library since 2012.
Andy and Kelli Szczybor of Perry Hall, whose son Ryan died of leukemia when he was 15 months old, are the inspiration behind the park, according to Baltimore County officials.

“[Ryan] would be a senior this year ... so it’s fitting that it’s getting built now, and this is also good for us because we’re keeping [his memory alive] as an inspiration,” Kelli Szczybor told Patch.
“We didn’t want to make it a sad thing,” she added. “We wanted to call it Angel Park because there are so many people that have lost somebody. Angel Park—that’s for everybody.”
The project will cost $1.5 to $1.6 million, according to Paulshock. “To get over halfway there just by raising money through people giving, this truly is really saying something for this community, for the town,” Paulshock said. “This is coming from all over, not just Perry Hall—across the county.”
Sponsors so far include the Perry Hall Library Foundation, Baltimore County Savings Bank, Rosedale Federal, Whiting Turner, the Amirault Family, White Marsh Liquors, anonymous donors and others, according to the Angel Park Commitee.
The unveiling of the new sign and sponsor board will take place at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 17. State delegates, the Angel Park Committee and members of the Baltimore County Council will be in attendance at 9685 Honeygo Boulevard.
