Perry Hall Cheerleaders Hold Car Wash Fundraiser for Japan

Varsity team's event benefits Red Cross relief efforts after earthquake and tsunami.

On Saturday morning cars were lined up outside the Dunkin' Donuts in Honeygo Village for a free car wash. Perry Hall High School's varsity cheerleaders held the car wash from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to benefit Red Cross relief efforts in Japan.

Despite a chilly start to the morning, the cheerleaders were kept busy washing all types of cars and trucks—all with their cheery smiles.

Coach Angie Hartman commented that “the team wanted to help after seeing the devastation in Japan. It was really easy to motivate them to do the car wash.”
