Perry Hall Crime: Partygoer Robbed, Taxi Driver Assault

Two commercial sites were also burglarized, the Baltimore County Police Department reports.

The Baltimore County Police Department provided the following information about recent incidents.

There was an attempted break-in at Emage Fur Salon in the 8800 block of Belair Road. Police said the suspect(s) tried to get through the deadbolts but the attempt was unsuccessful. The attempted burglary occurred between 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10, and 9:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 12.

Someone stole seven spools of copper wire from a construction site in the 9000 block of Franklin Square Drive. The suspect got into a fenced area, broke down the door to an electrical room and stole copper wire. The burglary happened between 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10, and 6:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 12.

An individual leaving a house party was assaulted and robbed in the 8700 block of Silver Hall Road at approximately 10:25 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10. Multiple suspects assaulted the victim, damaged his vehicle and took his cell phone.

Two people tried to rob a cab driver in the 8200 block of Perry Hall Boulevard. The suspects took a cab to the Sports Authority store and once there, they hit the driver in the face and tried to steal the driver’s purse. They did not succeed in the robbery and ran inside the store. The attempted robbery was reported at 4:12 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 9.

Crime Trend: Unlocked Garages, Sheds Burglarized

This week police reported there have been 107 garage and shed burglaries in the Parkville, White Marsh and Towson precincts since July 28.

Most of the cases involved unlocked doors. In some, locks were cut.

The burglaries typically occurred between 6 p.m. and 10 a.m.

In two cases, the suspect(s) put a rag over a motion sensor light, and in two cases, the lights were ripped off or unscrewed.

The suspect(s) took bicycles, beer, tools, fishing rods, generators, lawn equipment, a pushcart, motorcycle and dirt bike.
