Perry Hall Girl Brings Beary Christmas to Ronald McDonald House

Lucie Amrhein's non-profit organization, Hugs From Lucie, donated 25 Build-a-Bears to seriously ill children this holiday season.

Lucie Amrhein, a student at , turned 13 on Nov. 27, and like most teens, she got some money for her birthday.

But instead of spending it on herself, she put it toward her nonprofit organization, Hugs from Lucie, according to her mother Belinda Amrhein. 

Since the organization was founded by Lucie in 2008, it has donated hundreds of Build-A-Bear Workshop bears to seriously ill children at the Ronald McDonald House in Baltimore, according to the organization's website.

Lucie donated another 25 bears to children last week, her mother wrote in an email to Patch.
