Craft Show's Return to Perry Hall 'Deemed a Success'

Vendors have requested another show this upcoming spring, an organizer said.

Perry Hall High was transformed into a crafter's paradise Saturday morning and afternoon.

Community members welcomed the back to its old home at . In recent years, the longstanding annual craft show had been pushed off school property by the enforcement of a controversial county , known as Rule 1300.

A to the rule in August, however, opened the door for the show to return to the high school.

Donna Gawryck, a show organizer, sent the following statement to Patch after the event: 

The PTSA Holiday Craft & Vendor Show was deemed a success by both the PTSA and the persons who purchased spaces. We had excellent foot traffic all day long, despite us being in competition with other local craft shows and the Avenue Holiday Parade. Many of the vendors requested that we consider doing a spring show as well. Thanks for the news coverage in the Perry Hall Patch.  Several vendors mentioned they were happy to see the publicity in the Patch as well as in other local newspapers.
