Perry Hall High Grads Earn $7.5M in Scholarships, Grants

College doesn't come cheap. In fact, according to the National Center for Education Statistics, the average undergraduate student spends more than $17,000 per year in tuition, room and board.

But at least 65 students will lessen the cost burden through . School administrators announced this week that graduating seniors earned $6,432,877 in scholarships and $1,123,129 in grants—a grand total of $7,556,006.

Awarding institutions ranged from Johns Hopkins University to the Baltimore International College of Culinary Arts.
