Pet Saved from Burning House in White Marsh: Fire Officials

The White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company rescued a four-legged family member from a residence Saturday.

WHITE MARSH, MD — Firefighters rescued a pet Saturday from a burning home in White Marsh, officials said.

At 11:30 a.m., crews responded to the 11500 block of Lipscomb Way for a house fire, according to the White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company. They reported seeing fire behind the house on the second level, which had extended to one upstairs room inside the home. By 11:45 a.m., the fire company said both the exterior and interior fire had been knocked.

First responders saved a cat from the residence, according to the fire company, which shared a photo of a firefighter bringing the pet to safety.

The rescue came the same week that Baltimore County fire stations received free pet oxygen masks from a local company.
