The senior dipped her hand in a plate of red paint and smeared it down a window outside the cafeteria's courtyard.
Fellow seniors Emily Krach and Marshall Cheeseboro soon joined in.

The smears were meant to look like bloody handprints, Schissler said, decorations in honor of the upcoming celebration in the last weekend of October.

Several members of the class of 2012 helped paint the window Wednesday afternoon. Students expected the project to take at least two hours to complete.
"It's a big window," Cheeseboro said.
