Dog Attack at Honeygo Park Hospitalizes Man

Police responded to an attack between leashed dogs Saturday afternoon in Perry Hall.

A walk in the park turned violent Saturday afternoon. 

A dog on a leash attacked another dog on a leash at about 3:10 p.m. on Nov. 17, at Honeygo Run Regional Park in the 9000 block of Honeygo Boulevard in Perry Hall, according to Capt. Michael Balog of the White Marsh police precinct. 

The owner of the dog that was attacked attempted to pull off the other dog. The owner was scratched and bit in the process. He was taken by ambulance to MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center, Balog said.

The person walking the attacking dog told police it was in "doggie foster care," he said. No one was arrested or charged in the incident.

No further information on the breeds of dogs involved was available as of Monday morning.

Honeygo Run Regional Park is a popular dog walking area and the future location of a public dog park. Leashed animals are currently permitted throughout the park.
