Ravens Player Surprises Perry Hall Middle Student
Baltimore Ravens running back Matt Lawrence visited seventh-grader Alex Palmateer.
Being a sports radio reporter has its perks—even if you're only in seventh grade.
Alex Palmateer, a student at , regularly appears on a "Kids on Sports" segment Friday nights on 95.1 SHINE FM. On Wednesday, Baltimore Ravens running back Matt Lawrence, along with radio hosts Jack and Erin, surprised Alex in front of the school's entire seventh grade class.
The visit was captured on video and posted on YouTube.

"Matt heard Alex and wanted to surprise him. It was an awesome day," his mother, Sherrie Palmateer, wrote in an email to Patch.
"I was speechless and just wanted to thank Jack and Erin and Matt for making my son so, so happy. It is the best Christmas present I ever got!" she wrote.
