Rumble Strips Coming to North Perry Hall, Belair Road
Public officials hope the installation will improve public safety.
The Belair Road stretch between Honeygo Boulevard and the Gunpowder Falls State Park, straddling the line between Perry Hall and Kingsville, is slated for improvements by spring 2013.
The Maryland State Highway Administration plans to install new center line rumble strips and to replace pavement markers. The improvements were requested by State Sen. Kathy Klausmeier, Del. Eric Bromwell, and County Councilman David Marks, according to a statement recently released by Marks.
Multiple accidents have occurred along this stretch.

"I am pleased that the state will follow through on our request to improve public safety on this section of Belair Road between Perry Hall and Kingsville," Klausmeier stated in the release.

Marks added: "By improving the rumble strips and pavement markers, there will be less likelihood that motorists will cross into traffic at night and during the rain."
