Scholarship, Award Ceremony Honors Class of 2011

Faculty members and community leaders recognized Perry Hall High's graduating seniors.

Tearful speeches, boisterous applause and thousands of dollars in scholarships defined the Thursday evening ceremony honoring 's graduating seniors. 

Hundreds of parents watched as their children, clad in caps, gowns and academic cords, marched across the school's auditorium stage. 

Faculty members presented awards ranging from perfect attendance to "guitar achievement." Community leaders, including state Sen. Kathy Klausmeier and Perry Hall Improvement Association President Dennis M. Robinson, Jr., also presented local scholarships.

The event was a precursor to graduation, which will be held at Towson University on June 3.
