Speed Bumps Coming to Baker, Silver Spring

Two Perry Hall traffic calming measures have gained final approval from area residents, County Councilman David Marks announced on Friday.

On , near Gunpowder Elementary, and , east of Honeygo Boulevard, near Stable Gate Court, two speed bumps on each road are planned for construction this June, according to Marks.

While Baker Lane from Baltimore County this month, Silver Spring Road in November 2011. Both projects recently received the required signatures of at least 75 percent of nearby residents.

"As County Councilman, I will almost always support traffic calming if it passes the engineering criteria and there is neighborhood support," Marks said in a statement.
