Teen Charged In Graffiti Cases Near Nottingham: Police
Police said a 13-year-old was charged in nine graffiti cases around Dunfield.

CARNEY, MD — A 13-year-old has been charged with destruction of property in connection with graffiti in the Dunfield community, according to police. The teen was arrested after spraying graffiti onto a Baltimore County stop sign Monday night, officials said.
A resident called police around 5 p.m. to report the vandalism as it was occurring, according to authorities.
Responding officers talked to witnesses, who helped identify the 13-year-old. Police said the same teen was responsible for vandalizing signs, cars and other property in the area last week.

The teen was charged in nine destruction of property cases, according to the Baltimore County Police Department. Police did not identify the juvenile, and Patch does not identify juveniles who are not charged as adults.
Councilman David Marks posted on his Facebook page Sunday, Nov. 10, that there was "rampant vandalism" in the Dunfield, Belmont and Stillmeadow communities. Residents stated they saw the graffiti on Stillmeadow Road, Coatsbridge Court, Hydra Lane, Robinway Court and Slavin Court.

Marks said he found the crimes "repulsive." Because he said the communities in the area lacked a central organization, he asked homeowners associations to reach out to him "to see how we can work together to remove the graffiti and prevent future incidents."
Over the weekend, he updated the community on cleanup efforts.
"If you live in Belmont, Dunfield, and Stillmeadow, we are working with BGE, the Department of Public Works, and Pollards Towing to replace or clean signs still damaged by graffiti," Marks said. "Many areas are owned by homeowners associations, and they have already taken steps to clean those places."
Marks renewed the call Sunday for community members to help close the case, stating: "I talked to the Parkville police captain today. Call 911 for any new signs of graffiti or if you have any tips."
