WHIZ KID: Roosevelt Jamal Craig, PHHS Athlete and Mentor

Each week, we're honoring an exceptional young person in Perry Hall.

Perry Hall Patch Whiz Kid of the Week: Roosevelt Jamal Craig

• Age: 17
• School/Church: Perry Hall High School, Community Baptist Church
• Accomplishment: Star player on the Perry Hall High School varsity boys basketball team, the varsity boys football team and the track team. He plans to continue playing sports in college. Craig also participates in an after-school mentoring program, where he assists underclassmen in math, science and English.
• Key to Awesomeness: "You've got to work hard because it will pay off," said Craig. While mentoring, he said that students often confide in him about their personal problems or struggles. "I try to relate to them and guide them to be better," he said.
